Objectives
The objective of the course is to develop the student's skills and understanding of the director's job description, particularly focusing on scene planning.
After completing the course, the student
- identifies the various aspects of a director's role
- can analyse the significance of scenes in the script and in the finished film.
- grasps the anatomy of a scene.
- can create a directorial plan based on the script.
- can execute of a small-scale scene rehearsal

The student recognises areas related to the director's job role. The analysis of the significance and structure of scenes is somewhat limited. The student recognises principles to be taken into account in the directorial plan and is able to collaborate within a team during scene rehearsals.

The student recognises areas related to the director's job description. They can analyse the significance and structure of scenes in a screenplay and in a finished film. They can create a feasible directing plan and implement a small-scale scene rehearsal as part of a team.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student comprehensively dissects various aspects related to the director's job description. They analyse the significance and structure of scenes in a screenplay and in a finished film in a versatile and critical manner. They can create a feasible and creatively solutions-oriented directing plan. They are capable of implementing a small-scale scene rehearsal as part of a team.
