Objectives

In this course, you will deepen your expertise in midwifery care and the significance of sexual and reproductive health broadly in various contexts of midwifery.
After completing the course, the student:
• knows comprehensively the importance of sexual and reproductive health in various contexts of midwifery care
• is able to apply midwifery theory in midwifery care and its demanding special situations

Prerequisites

The student must have completed the Fundamentals of Midwifery and Professional Studies in Midwifery. The student cannot participate until majority of Supervised clinical trainings of Midwifery care are completed

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Pass:
Student
• masters the significance of sexual and reproductive health in different contexts of Midwifery Care comprehensively
• applies theory in midwifery care and in demanding special situations

Fail:
Student
• recognizes the significance of sexual and reproductive health in different contexts of Midwifery Care superficially
• applies theory in midwifery care unilaterally and without criticism
