Objectives
The student:
Acquires the knowledge and skills to plan ahead to successfully proceed in his/her studies and the tools to reflect on past and future experiences and knowledge.
Has basic level of knowledge on facilitation, both practical and theoretical level.
Is able to act as a facilitator in a group learning event for students and support their learning process throughout the event.
Understands the importance of thinking and leadership of thinking as a part of meaningful life, modern working-life and life-long learning.
Content
The course includes participation in the Self-Hack event and participation in a Self-Hack facilitator training. In addition to these participations, the student will complement the understanding and experience of Self-Hack and facilitation process through additional materials and through reflection of learning on individual and group basis.
The deeper understanding of facilitation and Self-Hack process will be taken into practice by taking part in a future Self-Hack event as a facilitator. The facilitation experience and new-gained knowledge of facilitation in practice will be shared with other students who have acted as facilitators in Self-Hack events.
Assessment criteria, pass/fail
To pass the course the student will have to:
- Participate in a Self-Hack event
- Go through the Self-Hack facilitator training
- Gain additional information and insight on facilitation process through additional materials along with individual and group reflection
- Take part in another Self-Hack event in the role of a facilitator and go through the new-gained insight and experiences in a group of other students who have facilitated a Self-Hack event
