Objectives
Students are able to act as conductors for amateur choirs. They have sufficient beat technique and are musically skilled which enables conduction even for rather demanding choral scores. They are independent and determined rehearsers of choirs and master rehearsing techniqes that the repertory requires. Students have knowledge of choral music literature and the whole of area of choral music, and has also an understanding of the basics of the psychology of choral singing.
Students have learning skills, ethical skills and interpersonal work community skills.
Content
-beat technique: basic patterns, changing metres, mastery of left hand gestures, expression in conduction
- rehearsing a choir, giving of starting notes, voice opening, analysis of choral compositions, playing of choral scores, and a repertoire of 5-8 compositions that are demanding by form and melody and represent diversive eras and styles
- rehearsing and conducting a professional chamber choir
