Objectives

Students can describe up to date 3D modeling techniques, tools and working methods. They are able to examine upcoming working methods and tools. After the course they have been experimenting some of the new 3D techniques in a customer project or as a team. They can review and argue how 3D modeling is going to change in next 10 years.

Content

New and upcoming 3D modelling techniques, experimental 3D modelling.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student can describe up to date and future 3D modeling techniques, tools and working methods.
The student can describe how to research new 3D modeling techniques.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student can experiment new 3D modelling techniques in a real-life project.
The student can create 3D models with new modelling techniques.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can apply learned skills to research upcoming techniques in the field of 3D modeling.
The student can apply learned skills to compare new techniques for 3D modeling.
