Objectives

Student understands the basics of machine constructions and typical fasteners used in assemblies. Student knows typical materials used in machine construction. Student has basic skills to work in project environment. Student knows the basics of safety by design. Student is able to report the work done.

Content

Project working in small groups. Principles of machine design, typical materials, recycling, idea of basic standards and patents, basic tools of a machine workshop, assembly and dismantling of machines.

This course is especially directed to those students, who do not have either any earlier experience of repairing and servicing of machines or using of them.
