Objectives
The students learn the different fields of project management: scheduling, budgeting, safety, quality and project information management.
The students gain a broad overview of the contract laws directing a construction project. The students also deepen their previous knowledge of the contracts in the construction industry.
Content
Scheduling techniques and software, follow-up and management of schedules, cost accounting methods in different stages of the project and keeping track of costs, quality and safety management of a construction project, project data banks and project communications.
The course covers construction legislations, such as the Land Use and Building Act and Housing Transactions Act. The students also deepen their knowledge on the General conditions for building contracts (YSE98), General conditions for consulting (KSE98), General procurement and delivery terms for construction products (RYHT2000). The course also covers modern construction contracts, such as life cycle contracts.
