Ensemble (3cr)

Objectives

Students apply their musical skills required in the duties related to their chosen study path into ensemble situations.

Students have learning skills and interpersonal work group skills.

Content

The course may consist of one or more of the types of ensemble playing:

- chamber music
- orchestra playing
- playing in a band
- choir
- Lied
- singing in a band and working in an ensemble
- oratorio
- opera
- musical theatre

Students apply the following skills:

- assessment and improvement of own skills and learning skills
- take a critical approach to information acquisition and to the use of it
- taking responsibility for the group´s learning and the interpersonal delivery of what has been learned
- ability to work as an active member of a group and contribute to its wellbeing
- fluency and efficiency in work life communication situations
- ability to make decisions in unforeseen situations
- ability to lead the work and to independent working in expert duties
