Objectives
SCIL-projects´ general learning objectives
• the student is able to recognize and describe the problem, and is able to define objectives for a project, including the value added, in collaboration with other team members
• the student is able to plan a project as a team member, and capable of utilizing agile project working methods as member of a multicultural and multidisciplinary project team
• the student is able to utilize user and customer centered methods to design and create the desired outcome
• the student is able to apply, utilize and acquire new knowledge and methods from their study field to achieve the desired project outcomes
• the student is capable of taking responsibility of the improvement and development of their operational environment, and is able to recognize and articulate the relevance of their competence and work in context
• the student is able to communicate about the project status and outcomes to the customer and stakeholders in a clear and precise manner
Definition of the individual learning objectives for project participants:
• In a learning agreement the student defines and writes down their project specific learning objectives, which are then evaluated and approved is discussion with the project facilitator
• the learning agreement explicitly defines individual learning objectives that are relevant to their field of study and their role in the project, and are aligned with their personal curriculum
Content
Smart Campus Innovation Lab (SCIL) is a Tampere Universities community -wide learning and innovation platform, a living lab. In SCIL students and staff from various fields, nationalities and cultures collaboratively carry out development projects that benefit the Tampere higher education community on a wide scale.
