Objectives

Students are able to conform with the various styles of congregational music for the youth in their playing with band instruments. They become familiar with sound reproduction equipment and amplifiers. They have skills to read absolute chord symbols and to make arrangements for various ensembles.
Students have learning and work community skills.

Content

-gospel music
- domestic spiritual music for the youth
- familiarizing with note sheet materials
- arrangement
- participation in a band and band performances
- rehearsals and performances, 2 credits

Students are able to
- assess and improve their skills and learning skills
- take a critical approach to information acquisition and the retrival of it
- take responsibility of the group's learning and its sharing the knowledge
- take responsibility of their own actions and the consequences of them
- follow the principles of work ethics in the field
- work as a member of a work community and contribute to its wellbeing
