Objectives

Students
-are aware of the episode of the crises and the process of coping
-are aware of the process of radiotherapy from the patient’s point of view
-know the most common side-effects of radiotherapy, how to prevent and nurse them
-know the principles of pain treatment
-know the follow-up of cancer patients and methods of comprehensive rehabilitation
-know how to meet seriously ill and dying patients and their relatives
-are aware of the basic information on nutritional physiology and the nutrition of cancer patient
-know the Finnish Social Security System related to cancer patient
