Supervised clinical training 4, Basic Level Emergency Care (9cr)

Objectives

Student
- knows the Finnish Health Care System and can inform clients how to use it
- can estimate the need of care, plan, implement and estimate the care of patient from different situations, level of life and cultures
- is able to suppport and guide sick or injured patient and his next of kin in emergency situation
- can professionally work with co-operation authorities
- work ergnomically and aseptically
- safety transport patient
- can monitor the patient´s vital signs and recognize patient´s needs of emergency care
- master the basic level in documentation and report in Emergency care
- can use the authorities network and VIRVE-telephone

Content

Practical trainig of the Basic Level Emergency Care 4 weeks

Prerequisites

Alkuvaiheen opinnoista on suoritettava 30 op ennen keskivaiheen opintoihin siirtymistä.
Alkuvaiheen opintojen orientoiva harjoittelu, kliinisen hoitotyön perusta, orientoiva harjoittelu, lääkehoito ja lääkelaskut sekä orientoiva harjoittelu, nestehoito on suoritettava ennen ensimmäistä ohjattua harjoittelua.

Osallituminen sisätautipotilaan ja kirugisen potilaan opintojaksoihin.
Keskivaiheen opinnoista osallistunut harjoitteluympäristössä toteutettavan hoitotyön teoriaopintoihin sekä orientoivan harjoittelun opintojaksoon.
