Composing Techniques of New Music (6cr)

Objectives

Students are familiar with compositional techniques of new classical music and have skills to apply them into practise.

Students have learning skills and innovation skills.

Content

- homophonic and polyphonic stylistical and compositional exercises from the post-tonal period (approx. from 1900) according to the chosen models
- score reading analysis and analysis on the basis of aural perception

Students increase their learning skills and innovation skills (creative problem solving and ideas suitable for execution, information acquisition and retrieval of it, increasing own skills, planning and reflection of own work).
