Objectives
Students are capable of conducting an amateur choir and are able to employ adequate beat technique and musical skills to master relatively demanding choral scores. They master the principles of independent and purposeful work with a choir and appropriate rehearsaing methods for the repertoire. They are familiar with choral literature and undestand the psychological regularities of choral singing.
Content
- beat technique: beat patterns, changing metres, mastery of left hand gestures, expression ja communicativeness in conduction
- training a choir, giving the starting notes, voice opening, analysis of a choral composition, playing of - beat technique: beat patterns, changing metres, mastery of left hand gestures, expression of meaning, choral scores, and a repertoire of 5-8 compositions representing diversive styles of music eras and includes compositions which are demanding by form and by melody
- rehearsing and conducting a highly skilled choir
