Objectives
After completing this course students can interpret aerial photographs and make maps using relevant methods. They can apply remote sensing in land use planning.
Content
Principles of remote sensing, electromagnetic radiation and aerial photography, visual and numerical interpretation of aerial images, applications of remote sensing for land use planning, making maps using relevant methods, ordinary maps and numeric maps and images used in land use planning, remote sensing and mapping for GIS applications. Volume calculation, area calculation, coordinate calculations, elevation surveyings, rectangular mapping.
