Orientation for MathematicsLaajuus (3 cr)

Code: 5B00FG12

Credits

3 op

Objectives

Student is able
-to operate with mathematical expressions related to technology
-to formulate the mathematical model and solve the equations

Content

Mathematical Notations, Unit Conversations. Formulating and simplifying Mathematical Expressions. Solving equations. Percentages.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student regularly participates in the teaching and passes the final examination of the course. Students will be able to use the basics included in the course and solve simple tasks that are similar to those handled in the class.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the above, the student can apply the course units to more difficult problems. The solutions are clearly presented.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the course and is able to apply it to more difficult problems. The solutions are presented clearly and mathematical concepts are used precisely.
