Objectives

The student
-knows how to carry out outpatient nursing methods in primary health care;
-takes care of his/her own occupational safety and promotes well-being in the work community;
-recognises the most common communicable diseases and knows how to prevent and treat them;
-knows how to vaccinate safely;
-is able to follow national and international health promotion development and meet challenges.

Content

-nursing in health centres
-prevention and treatment of communicable diseases, along with safe vaccination and traveller's health
-basics of emergency situations and environmental health care

Prerequisites

50 ects of first year studies completed, including pharmacotherapy and medical calculations
