Objectives

This course delves into the fundamentals of volunteering and civic engagement, as well as socially sustainable development practices.

Upon completing this course, students will:
• Understand the basic principles of volunteering and the role of volunteering within the service system
• Recognize the significance and boundaries of volunteering from various stakeholders’ perspectives
• Be familiar with organizations engaged in volunteering within the social and educational sectors
• Demonstrate effective communication with clients or client groups to support well-being
• Comprehend the concept of socially sustainable development and apply it accordingly
