Objectives

In this course, we deepen our understanding of the foundations of community social work and explore the practices and methods of structural social work.

Upon completing this course, the student will:
• Familiarize themselves with the theory of community social work and acquire the skills to analyze and structure community social work as part of professional social work and expertise
• Gain knowledge of community social work practices and modes of operation
• Understand the fundamentals, role, and significance of structural social work within the context of social work expertise
• Describe structural work as part of a social worker’s tasks and be able to promote citizen participation and engagement with various stakeholders
• Possess the ability to gather and produce information about the client group’s situation for regional and national decision-making needs

• can apply theory and concepts, and organize information in relation to each other
• can narrow down problems and tasks, as well as justify solutions and choices
• can evaluate matters and examine them from different perspectives

Student

• can find improvement opportunities and justify various approaches and alternative solutions
