Objectives

During the course, a picture is formed of oneself as an expert in social work and as a lifelong learner.

Upon completing the course, the student will:
• Be able to analyze themselves and their professional identity as developers, influencers, collaborators, and lifelong learners
• Critically reflect on their views, actions, social work phenomena, and ethics at different level
• Analyze their overall professional growth process, as well as their vision, skills, and challenges as social workers now and in the future

Content

• A developmental approach, independence, flexibility, responsibility, multidisciplinarity, and professionalism
• Lifelong and comprehensive learning
• Critical and emancipatory reflection, professional perspective, courage, and attitude
• Promoting social work ethical values and preventing social injustices, advocating for clients, and influencing change
• Social worker competencies
• A summary of the professional growth process

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Approved:

Student
• demonstrates achievement of the course objective
• applies relationships between phenomena and concepts in their work and can provide theoretical justifications
• defines problems and tasks, and justifies solutions and choices based on knowledge
• reflects on their own actions, competencies, and areas for development, including feedback received

Not Approved:

Student
• fails to demonstrate achievement of the course objectives
• does not apply relationships between phenomena and concepts in their work, nor can they provide theoretical justifications
• is unable to reflect on their own actions, competencies, or areas for development
