Content

- Revision of research methods
- Writing a research plan on the basis of an accepted idea paper
- Presenting a preliminary research plan in the seminar
- Acting as an opponent of one research plan
- Supplementing the research plan (comments from teacher, students, and working life supervisor)
- Searching for professional publications in Finnish and English from electronic databases and using them as references for the research plan and thesis (thesis workshop)
- Academic writing (1 cr): academic vocabulary and style, the structure and contents of thesis abstract, passive voice and other impersonal expressions

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Rejected: The student does not know how to design a research plan and write it in the appropriate language.
Approved: The student will be able to develop a feasible research plan for the thesis.
