Objectives
The student
- identify the need for treatment of a patient who is suddenly ill or chronically ill, using a variety of tools symptom indicators and data collection methods using technology

- utilize multidisciplinary knowledge in professional decision-making and base its activities on the researched information

- is able to implement and evaluate drug treatment as part of nursing work and to guide the patient and their relatives in drug therapy
- document issues related to the patient care process through digital services and information management taking advantage of
- identify and use digital and technological services to assess the need for patient care, in care and guidance
- utilize the patient's previously produced information and be able to guide the patient through digital services for use
Prerequisites
At the beginning of alternative professional studies, the student must have completed 135 cr of studies. These should include theoretical studies in the area of the student have chosen as their alternative professional studies and studies in anatomy and physiology. The required areas are internal medicine nursing, surgical nursing, mental health and substance abuse nursing, gerontological nursing and nursing at a Health and Social Services Center. Participation in the course Digitalizing Healthcare or Home-Produced Technologizing Nursing.

- knows the care and service chains of the patients and clients they treat during the internship period and is able to utilize them in the management and coordination of care
- is able to meet, guide and teach the individual and family in a customer-oriented and versatile way
- is able to make extensive use of the citizen 's accumulating information about his / her own well - being, or health and evaluate its use in care and guidance
- can document visitation, treatment period and summary in a customer-oriented, national way utilizing structures and ensuring continuity of care
- is able to utilize technologies in patient care and guide their customer-oriented use
- is able to coordinate nursing work and act independently and responsibly in cooperation with different professional groups with
- be able to assess the need for and urgency of treatment in the event of a sudden change in the patient 's situation, and implement that to coordinate treatment
- is able to support and treat patients of different ages during the disease and as the disease progresses
