Content
Supervised Clinical Training 6 weeks in various outpatient clinics
Prerequisites
At the beginning of the elective vocational studies, the student must have completed 135 credits. These should include the theoretical studies and orientation to practical training of the area which the student has chosen for the elective studies, as well as courses in anatomy and physiology. Required courses are Medical Nursing and Surgical Nursing.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail
Pass
The student
- understands and is able to make extensive use of the nursing knowledge base of an outpatient clinic patient
- analyses evidence-based knowledge in outpatient nursing care
- manages holistically pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy and performs medication calculations in outpatient nursing care
- is able to apply the nursing process of a patient in the outpatient clinic, taking into account the individuality of the patient and his/her family
- is able to select and use various monitoring and assistance methods in outpatient nursing, justifying their choice in his/her own activities
- is able to act in collaboration responsibly, constructively and flexibly
- understands and applies creatively the ethical principles of nursing
- develops both his/her own and group interaction skills in nursing care in an outpatient clinic
- is able to guide according to the needs of patients and their families in outpatient clinic nursing
Fail
The student
-has clear shortcomings and misunderstandings in the basic theoretical knowledge of outpatient clinic nursing
- has not mastered evidence-based knowledge in outpatient clinic nursing
- has not mastered the core principles of rehabilitative nursing in outpatient clinic nursing
- has not mastered the pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy, and does not perform medication calculations in outpatient clinic nursing
- is not able to perform the care of the outpatient clinic under supervision
- repeatedly neglects to prepare for different situations and tasks
- is not able to assess in a holistic way the condition of the patient in the outpatient clinic and is not able to plan the care
- is unable to support the patient and his/her family in outpatient clinic nursing
- is unable to guide the patient and his/her family in self-care and rehabilitation
- does not take responsibility for his/her own learning
- has difficulties in receiving feedback and critically reflecting on his/her own activities
- fails to comply with the ethical principles of nursing care
- is not able to act properly as a member of the group in solving the patient's care problems
