Objectives

The student
- manages the key methods of evaluation, planning, and nursing interventions in the care of acutely and long-term ill patients at the client's home, at reception or in hospital care
- is able to act safely and ethically in different phases of the care process using digital resources diversely and creatively
- knows how to act as a nursing expert in holistic patient care in different nursing environments, utilising technologies and digital services
- is able to self-evaluate and reflect on his/her own activities and in relation to others

Content

- planning, implementation and evaluation in nursing care of acutely and long-term ill patients at the client's home, at reception or in hospital, using digital information

Prerequisites

At the beginning of elective studies, the student must have completed 135 credits. These should include the theoretical studies and orientation to practical training of the area which the student has chosen for elective studies, as well as studies in anatomy and physiology. The required areas are medical nursing, surgical nursing, mental health and substance abuse care, gerontological nursing and nursing in an outpatient clinic.
