Objectives
The student
- is able to gather equipment needed for the patient’s care and is able to check its operation and safety for use
- is able to assist with a patient's airway management tasks
- is able to assist in a patient’s cannulation and guide the patient in regard to it
- is able to maintain continuity of care for the patient using manual and electronic documentation
Content
- nursing actions in anaesthesia preparation
- implementation and monitoring of anaesthesia
- assisting in cannulation
- medication and medication calculation for the anaesthesia
Prerequisites
At the beginning of the elective vocational studies, the student must have completed 135 credits. These should include the theoretical studies and orientation to practical training of the area which the student has chosen for the elective studies, as well as courses in anatomy and physiology.
