Objectives

Student
• can use digital imaging equipment and auxiliary equipment independently and safely
• perform the most common x-ray examinations of extremities and body according to the procedure of x-ray examination
• knows the principles of safe operation of radiation in x-rays and comply with them
• act aseptically and ergonomically and safety

Content

The student acts as an assistant teacher in the basic training class
• function and operation of radiological equipment and auxiliary equipment
• factors affecting the quality of x-rays and factors affecting the dose of radiation
• the procedure of x-ray examination
• x-ray examinations of extremities and body and the key concepts related to them
• care and guidance of different-aged patients in x-ray examinations
• radiology (thorax, skeleton, teeth, and ultrasound)

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Pass:
• shows initiative and is cooperative
• can operate radiological equipment safely and appropriately
• is able to do realistic self-assessment, receives feedback and instructions

Fail:
• does not follow agreed working hours
• withdraws repeatedly from learning situations
• does not observe an aseptic way of action
