Objectives

Students
-know the principles of mammography
-know the structure and function of mammography equipment and auxiliary equipment and quality assurance
-know the PGMI meter and can assess mammographic image quality according to it
-discern normal and pathological conditions of breasts
-know the legislation concerning safe medical use of ionizing radiation in mammography and procedures
-can position the most common mammography projections with a training patient in learning situations
-can act aseptically, ergonomically and ethically

-can name differences, advantages and challenges between different imaging techniques of the breasts
-can describe the structure and function of mammography equipment and quality assurance
-can name the most common mammography projections and criteria of good radiographic images according to the PGMI meter
-can discern normal and pathological conditions of breasts from x-ray pictures
-can describe the legislation concerning safe medical use of ionizing radiation
-can position the most common mammography projections in learning situations mainly independently
-can act aseptically and ergonomically in learning situations
