Objectives

The student
- knows the care path of the high risk pregnant woman and the cooperation partners in primary health care and specialized medical care
- meets the pregnant woman, family and work group members professionally
- is able to guide and support the pregnant woman and family in the customer oriented way in the high risk pregnancy
- is able to follow up under supervision the maternal and foetal wellbeing in the high risk pregnancy
- participates the customer oriented and evidence based care planning, implementing and assessing as the member of multidiscipline team
- implements safely and responsibly midwifery in the high risk pregnancy
- receives the woman in labour and performs the examinations to discover her status
- is able to receive under supervision the emergency pregnant patient and perform the examinations to discover her status
- is able to discover under supervision the status and care needs of the emergency pregnant patient
- reflects and evaluates his/her own activities realistically and is able to give and receive feedback

Content

- holistic care of the high risk pregnant woman
- 4 weeks supervised clinical training in a maternity clinic in specialized medical care, a labour word reception and a high risk pregnancy ward

The student
- knows the care path of the high risk pregnant woman and the cooperation partners in primary health care and specialized medical care
- implements under supervision the holistic midwifery in high risk pregnancies, recognizes the lack of knowledge in him/herself and actively seeks for evidence based knowledge
- is able to observe the wellbeing of the pregnant woman and foetus in the high risk pregnancy
- meets the pregnant woman, family and work group members professionally
- is able to guide and support the pregnant woman and family in the customer oriented way in high risk pregnancy
- knows how to implement midwifery safely in the high risk pregnancy
- follows the confidentiality and data protection guidelines
- follows in his / her actions the agreed rules of the supervised practical training
- reflects and evaluates his/her own activities realistically and is able to give and receive feedback

Failed
- do not know the care path of the high risk pregnant woman and the cooperation partners in primary health care and specialized medical care
- the theoretical knowledge of high risk pregnancies are incomplete and he/she is not able to implement the theoretical knowledge to midwifery practice
- is not reliably able to observe the wellbeing of the pregnant woman and foetus in the high risk pregnancy
- meets the pregnant woman, family and work group members unprofessionally
- withdraws from guidance and is not able to support the pregnant woman and family in the high risk pregnancy
- does not recognize the boundaries of his/her expertise, endangering patient safety of the pregnant woman and foetus
- violates confidentiality or patient privacy
- fails to follow the agreed rules for supervised practice
- evaluates her/his own competence unrealistically and is unable to receive feedback
