After completion of the course the student:
• knows the basics of EEG-recording
• knows the basics of sleep studies
• knows the basics of testing the neuromuscular system (ENMG)
• knows the basics of evoked potential tests
• knows the basics of neuromodulation in the field of clinical neurophysiology
• is able to guide the patient in clinical neurophysiological tests taking into account preanalytic factors
• takes into account quality management and patient safety related to neurophysiological tests.

Content

• Clinical neurophysiology as a specialty
• Electrical activity of the brain and recording of brain activity (EEG)
• Basics of sleep, the most common sleep disorders and sleep studies
• Function and recording of the peripheral nervous system and neuromuscular system (ENMG)
• Evoked potential tests
