The student

The student is able to identify recommendations, standards and quality objectives that guide their own activities. The student is able to define the areas of application and operating principles of the equipment in use. The student is able to test the operation and analytical methods of the point-of-care devices being used. He/she is able to compare the values obtained by different analytical methods, sample types and processing methods and draw simple conclusions concerning the methods. The student is able to work in a multidisciplinary team and recognizes his/her role in the processes of point-of-care analytics. The student can name different dimensions of health technology and applications in clinical laboratory work.

The student is able to explain the most common methods used in point-of-care testing and the measurement and operating principles of the test analysers. The student can use, service and test the analysers and their operation and methods. The student can work in a multidisciplinary team and take responsibility not only for their own performance but also for the performance of the team.
