The student will

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is able to analyse basic blood transfusion serological tests by tube and column method. The student knows the basics of blood transfusion practices, clinically relevant antibodies, and the adverse effects and incidents related to blood transfusions. The student knows the responsibility areas of the hospital blood centre and the treatment unit in the implementation of safe blood transfusion, the use of various blood products and the instructions for blood transfusion.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student is able to perform basic blood transfusion serological tests according to the working procedure using the tube and column method, taking into account preanalytical factors. The student knows blood transfusion practices, clinically relevant antibodies and blood transfusion adverse effects. The student knows the responsibility areas of the blood service, the hospital blood centre and the treatment unit for the implementation of safe blood transfusion, the use of various blood products and the instructions for blood transfusion.
