Content

Preparation of histology and cytology specimens on microscope slides.
Familiarisation with frozen section procedure.
Performing common stainings according to instructions and quality assurance of staining.
Findings of normal Pap smear.
Quality assurance, occupational safety and waste management in pathology laboratory.
Operating in a work community, interaction, ethicality, professional confidentiality and data protection.

Prerequisites

The student must have passed Preparation of Tissue Sections and Recognition of Tissues, and Introduction to Clinical Cytology and Histological Stains, Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Pathology before the course.
