• apply the principles of aseptic work in simulation class
• ensure the functionality and readiness of the simulation class
• identify the most common devices and instruments in simulation-teaching class
• safely operate simulation room equipment, instruments, and materials
• independently manage the processes of instrument sterilization
• perform and interpret common saliva tests
• follow common rules and guidelines
• work within a group to promote good interaction and collegiality
Content
Aseptic work
Ensuring the operational readiness of the simulation class
Knowledge of instruments and equipment, equipment induction
Training in the use of the simulation room treatment unit
Instrument maintenance
Common saliva tests
Prerequisites
The Student has participated on course:
Infection Control and Safety in Oral Health Care
Assessment criteria, pass/fail
Accepted:
• Has actively participated in simulation teaching, completed assigned tasks and demonstrations
• Demonstrates the ability to adhere to aseptic principles in a simulation environment
• Shows capability in maintaining the simulation environment and ensuring its readiness for use
• Can identify common equipment and instruments in the simulation area
• Demonstrates safe use of simulation equipment, tools, and materials
• Understands and manages instrument maintenance processes
• Has performed saliva tests during the course and interpreted the results
• Follows established rules and guidelines
• Exhibits collegiality and sufficient interpersonal skills in their actions.
Failed:
The student does not meet the criteria for acceptance.
