Objectives
The student:
- knows what kind of enterprises are typical in forestry business and their main tasks
- knows how to interpret accounting figures and is able to make cost calculations of machines
- knows the basics of entrepreneurship and requirements for entrepeneurs
-knows the significance of a business plan for an enterprise
-knows the key regulations concerning setting up an enterprise, employment, and other functions of enterprises
- knows the most important forms of subsidies and financing for small and medium size enterprises
Content
Forestry enterprises and their special features, economical planning of an enterprise, key figures of businesses and their interpretation,
the influence of activities on enterprise´s economy, machine cost accounting, planning of the activities of an enterprise, strategic planning, business plan and its contents and role in doing business, legislation concerning entrepreneurship, labour law, setting up an enterprise, entrepreneurship policy and its role in guiding activities
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student knows the goals of the business plan process superficially. He / she identifies, defines and applies concepts and models within the scope of the business plan.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student is able to define concepts and models related to a business plan and is able to make a well-grounded analysis of business activities. The students has the skills to apply what he/she has learned.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is proficient in the concepts and models of the topic of the business plan. The student is able to analyze business operations fluently and reasonably and can summarize the essentials of business operations with the help of Busines Model Canvas. The student is well prepared to apply what he/she has learned
