Objectives

The student becomes familiar with building site engineering or assistant design or project management tasks and applies his/her knowledge and skills in practice. The student makes observations related to work tasks, basic rules of a working environment, and assesses his/her skills against the demands of working life. Students set personal goals for their professional development. The student clarifies the responsibilities of building services related to their practical assignments. The student will find out information about different responsibilities of building services tasks related to training assignments.

Content

Participation in Practice Tutorials, contracts and reporting, active acquisition of an internship position and setting learning objectives in collaboration with the workplace tutor. Keeping track of learning with a work diary. Writing an approved traineeship report.

Prerequisites

Orientation and Coaching for Practical Training

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Pass (s): The student has prepared the Learning Objectives for the internship, monitors his/her own work and reports the internship in the agreed manner and according to the schedule. Reporting has been approved by the representative of the internship company.
Fail (h): The student's internship duties do not comply with the requirements of Finnish law, or the persons responsible for the work are not designated. Reporting is incomplete or does not reflect how the internship has developed the student's professional skills.
