Code: 5T00EE99

Credits

5 op

Objectives

The student is able to
- detect the building services engineering devices and solutions in a built environment and, in collaboration with others, produce technical documentation about them.
- use applications of CAD as a professional tool
- based on documentation, carry out basic couplings for electrical systems and measure them
- find out the requirements for occupational safety in electrical site tasks and apply these when carrying out electrical tasks
- define the responsibilities and obligations related to the tasks of a person responsible for occupational safety

Content

Use of CAD in electrical planning. Creating planning documents. Inspection and documentation of the existing installation. Basic couplings and their documentation.Electrical occupational safety regulations and standards. The basics of occupational safety.

Prerequisites

Tools for Building Services or equivalent

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student uses the basic functions of electrical engineering software, but there are shortcomings in using it and meeting the schedules is challenging.
The student has participated in assignments, but the work is schematic.
The student recognizes the basic challenges of electrical work safety but applies the electrical safety requirements in a narrow way.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student is able to use electrical design software fluently and generally stays well on schedule. Minor shortcomings may occur.
The student has actively participated in the exercises and promoted group activities.
The student describes the basic challenges of electrical work safety and is able to apply electrical safety requirements in normal situations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student uses the electrical design software in an appropriate and expedient manner and works on schedule.
The student acts responsibly and develops group activities.
The student describes extensively the challenges of electrical work safety and is able to apply electrical work safety requirements.
