Objectives

The students gain an understanding of the material properties and working methods used with concrete, so that they are able to take the demands of concrete into consideration when designing structures, production, production management and structural inspections. The students understand the uniqueness of concrete work.

Content

The usages of concrete, components, properties, defining consistence, quality technology of manufacturing concrete.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Student knows the basics of the course and understands the key concepts of concrete technology, and knows the main points of the topics discussed in the lectures and in the laboratory.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the previous one, student can apply the topics of the course in different situations, justifying the solutions. In addition, he understands the terms and visual aspects of the material.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, student has a comprehensive understanding of the subjects of the course and the material theory of concrete, as well as an understanding of their connection to the professional field as a whole. In addition, he is able to justify the causes, consequences and solutions of various technical and visual challenges of the material.
