Objectives

Student
- can identify relevant legislation in this field
- recognize the hazards of a chemistry laboratory and be able to work safely in a chemistry laboratory
- is able to name the basic equipment required for laboratory work and knows their principles of operation, use and quality assurance
- know the basic knowledge and skills required for laboratory water and reagent maintenance
- knows how to give first aid to the most common for people of different ages sickness and accident (EMERGENCY FIRST AID)
- can carry out maintenance of small appliances according to instructions
- carry out an occupational safety card

Content

- laws, regulations and other regulations
- hazards and protection against laboratory work
- laboratory chemicals; handling and safety, warning signs and MSDs
- basic laboratory equipment
- clean water in the laboratory
- Occupational Safety card

Prerequisites

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is present during the required lessons, returns the assignments incomplete and late, with the help of the tutor gets to an acceptable level, the results of the exams are satisfactory. Emergency first aid and occupational safety card need to be passed.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student attendance and recovery functions and their content varies, but control to achieve good results and level of exams H level.
Emergency first aid and occupational safety card must be completed.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is very active in class, participates in discussions and returns written assignments on time. The answers to the tasks are well structured and thoroughly addressed. Exams are commendable.Emergency first aid and occupational safety card must be completed.
