Objectives
After completing the course, the student has basic knowledge and skills in the following subjects:
• Selection of pumps and actuators for industrial systems and calculation of pipe flows and pressure losses
• about energy systems, in this course energy production, transmission systems and applications
• different forms and conversion ratios of energy, enthalpy and efficiency calculation of heating energy
• the student knows how to use energy engineering tools, e.g. steam pressure tables, pressure/flow curves
• understand the goals and conventional means of improving energy efficiency
• environmental effects and sustainability goals of energy production and use
Content
Conduction, convection, radiation, combined heat transfer, pressure drop, and energy balance equations. Examples of equipments include steam power plant, gas trubine power plant, engines, pumps and blowers.
