In this course, the student gets to test flying drones in practice. In order for this to be possible, the student must take an online theory test in the activity subcategories A1 and A3. This network theory test is carried out during the course before the practical flights under the guidance of the course supervisors. TAMK is certified to accept exams related to subcategory A1 and A3. This exam is free for students. If you do drone flying on your own, and you fly a drone weighing more than 250 g, you must have online training, i.e. having gone through the self-study materials and successfully completed the online theory test. It is important to remember that, in addition to the requirements and weight limits of the subcategories of the activity, the general requirements of the open category (e.g. line of sight, maximum flying height) and the conditions of various prohibited and restricted areas must always be followed. The course includes practical flight training, familiarization with flight safety and SORA risk assessment, and flight simulation.
