Objectives

The student understands the principles of mining legislation and knows how to act as a responsible developer on mining sites.
The student understands the importance of vibration and pressure wave in mining.
The student can describe the possibilities of using rock to place different spaces.
The student understands the use of rock petrogeology information and rock classification methods in the placement planning of a rock space.
The student can describe the basic principles, methods and differences between open pit and cave/tunnel mining.
The student knows how to describe mining work phases and methods, equipment, explosives and official regulations.
The student can list rock consolidation methods and the materials, equipment and work steps used in the work, as well as describe the operating principles of consolidation and quality assurance procedures.
The student knows how to define the need for drying and compaction of rock spaces and presents solution options, and knows how to list the materials, equipment and work steps used in them.

Mining legislation, official regulations and safety instructions.
The environmental effects of mining, including vibration measurements and nutrients.
Various rock farms, rock construction and planning.
Bedrock structural features, rock classifications and stress state.
Consideration of the bedrock in the layout of the farm.
Excavability of the rock.
Work stages of tunneling, explosives and teddies.
Shotcrete and bolting.
Drainage and sealing by injection.
Working methods of open pit mining.

5R00GQ52 Introduction to Geotecnical Engineering or equivalent knowledge
