Objectives

The student will be able to make plans for the construction of a building in a conventional location: the student will be able to dimension the geotechnical resistance of an underground foundation and to define the necessary frost protection and drainage structures and drawings related to them. He/ she is able to interpret the results of the base survey in such a way that he / she can define the design parameters for dimensioning the foundation of a conventional structure.
The student is able to calculate the bearing and non-slip resistance of an angle support wall under normal conditions.
The student is able to calculate the stresses of a freestanding and one level supported retaining wall under easy ground conditions.
The student is able to choose the right type of pile structure based on the loads and he/she will be able to list the methods used to determine the geotechnical strength of a pile.
The student is able to measure the resistance of a friction pile on the basis of the results of a base survey.
The student understands the meaning of radon
The student can calculate the CO2e emissions of the structure
The student can measure the superstructures of the yard
