Objectives

The student will be able to list the different types of pavements to be used on roads and yards and to select the type of pavement, traffic volume, traffic distribution, environment and other needs to be considered. The student knows the methods of designing and manufacturing different types of coatings and the methods of applying them and knows the research methods and quality requirements of raw materials and finished coatings. He also knows the life-cycle thinking of structures.

Content

Basic concepts and titles of coating technology. Aggregates; features, tests and requirements. Binders; features, tests and requirements. Manufacture, mixing and removal of dust. Transport, distribution, sealing, storage, monitoring. Leveling, coating and coating methods. Samples, Repairs, Impairments, and Errors. Other bituminous coatings. Concrete, concrete stones, stones and other coatings.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is able to identify and define the basics of the course and solve simple questions
applications that are similar to the tasks being handled.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the above, the student is able to choose the most suitable one by applying and comparing different options
policy and justify their choices.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the course topics and their use
problem solving; and the ability to present, analyze, and justify logically handled issues and methods of solution.
