Objectives

The student can:
- choose a suitable power transmission structure for different types of vehicles
- dimensioning power transmission components.

Content

The course covers front, rear and multi-wheel drive. Let's familiarize ourselves with the properties and dimensions of different systems: release clutch, synchronous gearbox, torque converter, pack and planetary gearbox, variator gearbox, joint shaft and cardan and constant speed joints, drive and differential, slip limiter (viscous), retarder.
