Objectives

The students know how to implement various parts of the project, for example purchasing, scheduling, production and assembly. The skills are closely connected to the technical practices of the students’ field of study. The students can apply their skills in the context of the project.

Content

The students implement the project.
The tasks are divided into: purchasing, scheduling and implementation. It is important for the group to work together so that every member of the group knows what the others are doing and are able to comment on each others’ work. The work is documented into the learning diary.
The result of the implementation phase is a realised project.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The group does not have clear rules of the game for its operations, the project progresses to some extent guided by the director or the client. The members of the project group focus on their own parts, the cooperation between the members and with the client and the utilization of the strengths of the group members are insufficient. The workload is unevenly distributed among the members of the project team. The output remains insufficient or the group's perception of the quality of its work does not match the customer's view.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In a managed manner, the group agrees on the rules to be followed in the group and, as a rule, follows them in its activities. The team members act according to the agreed rules and the instructions of the project manager, listening to the views of others and cooperating with the customer. However, taking responsibility for the project varies in its different phases. As a rule, the output of the project corresponds to the assignment. The group's and the client's views on the quality of the work are relatively similar.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The group agrees on its own initiative and jointly the rules to be followed in the group and takes care of their compliance in its activities. Each member of the group contributes to the achievement of the project's goals through their own activities in cooperation with other members of the group and bears responsibility for the progress of the project throughout the project. The team members cooperate naturally with the customer and modify the plans according to the feedback they receive. The project is progressing on schedule or the changes have been agreed together with the customer. The project team can realistically assess the quality of the output in relation to the project's goals and reflect on the progress of the project.
