Objectives
Objectives of this course are to study the environmentally friendly general electric vehicles and various hybrid vehicles, as well as those used in the transmissions.
Students are able to:
- know the basics of electric power transmission systems, their applications and dimensions
- know the basics of energy efficiency for different on road and off road vehicles
- apply their knowledge and skills in the design of vehicles and machinery, as well as after-sales service and maintenance operations.
Content
The course contents are the electrical power transmission systems, energy storage, power controllers, electrical machinery and charging, and maintenance. At the system-level, the course goes through a variety of techniques, the applicability on the vehicles and machinery, as well as hybrid solutions. The key objective is to achieve an understanding of electronic transmission systems, economics, as well as the availability in various applications in mobile applications.
