This course provides students with some insights on how to describe own knowledge, skills and competences. Students will explore videos, articles, canvases, dialogue and and reflection as tools to get to the bottom of your own ways to build your future.

After completing the course student
• will understand the key elements of identifying and describing your knowledge, skills and competences
• will know how to take your expertise into practice as entrepreneur or employee
• will know how to apply your possibilities in your future working life

Assessment methods and criteria

Passed, when you have demonstrated successful work towards the learning outcomes: you understand the main aspects of identifying and describing your knowledge, skills and competencies. You can assess your own skills and connect them to your career plans. You have completed the learning assignments in Moodle, based on the course materials.

Failed if you have not succeeded in understanding the phenomena of identifying and describing your knowledge, skills and competencies. You have not mastered the learning outcomes so that you can tell the required skills and assess your capabilities. Not completing all learning assignments in Moodle.

Self learning. This course is done completely online (Moodle) and independently. You can complete it at your own pace, at a time that suits you. The course needs to be completed on 31.8.2025 at the latest.

This course is done completely online and independently in Moodle, and you can complete it at your own pace, at a time that suits you. You can start the course right away on Moodle. You don’t have to wait to be accepted on the course, you can start studying when you want.

In order to get the credits, you also have to sign up officially in Pakki (TAMK Students) / Cross-Institutional Service (TAU Students). Please note that during the holiday seasons there are delays in the awarding of credits.

! TAU-student: Cross-Institutional Service will be closed on 31st of May – 31st of July. During that period, you can already start and do the course on Moodle.
