The student can
- describe the principles of different printing methods
- recognize the phases of the printing process
- the demands for the printing substrates in different printing methods and can apply this knowledge to paper manufacturing
- use the most common visual evaluation methods as well as devices to evaluate the print quality
- analyze the printing defects and produce the solutions to solve them.
- describe the converting process of the tissue
- describe the manufacturing process of adhesive laminates, disposable dishes and cores

Content

History and future of printing, quality formation and measuring of the print. Offset printing, rotogravure printing, flexo, electrophotography and ink jet printing, other digital printing methods and paper behavior in these printing methods. Functional printing. Printing inks. Finishing of print. Converting processes of tissue. Manufacturing processes of adhesive laminates, disposable dishes and cores.
