Credits
3 op
Objectives
Students achieve basic knowledge and skills in technical drafting, 3-D modeling and CAD systems.
Students are able to:
- model basic vehicle components
- model holes of various shapes and sizes
- produce manufacturing drawings including dimensions.
Content
The course deals with methods and standards (including projections, lines, texts, dimensions, tolerances, fittings, surface and weld annotations, diagrams, part lists, machine elements, drafting quality and economics) related to the technical drafting. Students practice modeling and drafting using CAD-systems.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
Students know the methods used in design. They are able to complete tasks when assisted. Students take responsibility of their own tasks.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
Student are able to use what they have learned in solving problems. They can choose and justify the methods they use. Students recognize and use common design methods.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students are able to contextualize what they have learned. They are able to search for various design methods and solutions and try new methods.Students understand the economic impact of their choices and seek better solutions.
