Objectives

The student is able to design websites / services in a user-centered manner so that they provide the intended user experience in the defined user context for specified users. The student is able to test the design solutions and services and develop the service / site based on the lessons learned.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is able to explain how design thinking and user-centeredness achieve the desired user experience.
The student is able to describe the design thinking process and explain its key concepts.
The student is able to describe the Lean UX development process and explain its key concepts and how it differs from other user-centered design.
The student is able to describe the typical testing methods of the user experience and in what situations to use.
The student is able to describe how agile software development process and Lean UX are combined.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student is able to use the design thinking process and the Lean UX approach to design and develop services.
The student is able to test design solutions and services with typical testing methods of user experience and to advance their development based on the lessons learned from testing.
The students is able to produce different prototypes for user experience testing.
The student is able to work in an agile team as a user experience designer.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to apply Lean UX approach and design thinking to different situations and apply their methods in an appropriate way.
The student is able to apply the test methods of the user experience appropriately according to the demand situation.
